
Customer Guide and Handy Tips
- For the best results ensure all other trade have completed their work before floor is started
- Site is clean of debris and furniture removed
- Good, clear vehicle access where possible as the machinery is heavy to move about
- Remove all unsealed food from storage in pantry
- Remove all indoor plants from area - solvents in polyurethane will damage foliage
- Ensure there is adequate power supply, more than one power point
- Painting of skirtings - for best results complete final coat when sanding and polyurethaning is completed
- Do not walk or enter area of new polyurethaned floor for at least 24hrs
- Wooden floors do not like stilettos shoes
- Moisture cured polyurethane takes 7 - 10 days to cure before furniture can be put back in place - Waterborne polyurethane takes 4 days to cure
- Do not drag furniture and appliances across the floor
- No waxes or silicon cleaners should be used on polyurethane floors
- Cleaning floors - use an anti static mop to collect dust and dirt, washing polished floors regularly with warm water and methylated spirits (1/2 cup of meths to 5lts of warm water)
